Lower Your Credit Utilization

Keep your credit utilization below 30%. While paying off your credit card balance Is best, you can also try to lower it by requesting a credit limit increase from your credit card company.

TIP: To find credit card utilization, use the following formula:
Available credit limit
+ Credit card debt
= Your credit utilization

Request a Goodwill Deletion

If your credit history is in relatively good standing, but you have a missed or late payment that you believe is hurting your score, write a goodwill letter to the creditor requesting to have the negative mark removed.

Correct Credit

Check your credit report for errors and report any that you find. Even errors such as typos in your name or outdated address information can make it harder for lenders to verify your identity. This could affect your credit approval chances.

Use a Credit Boost Service

Credit boost services like Experian Boost allow you to build credit for your monthly subscription bills from services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, internet, or utilities.
